The Electra 225 was Buick's flagship full-size luxury car — the 'Deuce and a Quarter' nickname referencing its 225-inch overall length. Despite its luxury mission, the Nailhead V8 engines underneath provided genuine performance. The GSX was the ultimate expression of Buick's Gran Sport performance line. Available in striking Saturn Yellow or Apollo White with bold stripes, spoilers, and the legendary Stage 1 455 V8, the GSX was one of the fastest production cars of 1970 — capable of running the quarter mile in the 13s from the factory. Its combination of Buick luxury with genuine supercar performance makes it one of the most desirable GM muscle cars.

The Riviera was GM's personal luxury coupe and one of the most sophisticated American design achievements of the 20th century. The 1963–65 first-generation cars, designed by Bill Mitchell's team without a single chrome fender ornament, are widely considered among the most beautiful American cars ever built. The controversial 1971–73 'Boat-Tail' models are gaining strong collector interest.

The Gran Sport — Buick's muscle car sleeper with Nailhead power.

Buick's entry in the muscle car sweepstakes, the Gran Sport option package stuffed a 401 Nailhead V8 into the mid-size Skylark and created a car that could embarrass better-known muscle cars. The Stage 1 455 option for 1970–72 produced 360 hp and enormous torque — making it one of the fastest street cars of the era at any price.

The Wildcat was Buick's full-size performance model, carrying the 401 and 425 Nailhead V8 in its most sporting body style. Overshadowed by the mid-size muscle car era, the Wildcat convertible with the 425 Nailhead is one of the most underappreciated performance cars of the 1960s — fast, stylish, and considerably cheaper than comparable muscle cars.
