It consists of a scrape/scuff with some paint loss and localized cracking, along with a couple of smaller superficial marks in the immediate area. The blemish is clearly shown in the accompanying close-up photographs. Our company believes in being completely transparent about the condition of our cars, so we have photographed and disclosed this item rather than simply calling it a scratch. It is a cosmetic issue only and does not affect the operation or drivability of the Corvette. Importantly, everything on the car works as it should, and the Corvette has successfully passed a recent Massachusetts safety inspection. The car runs, drives and handles exactly as expected, with the LS1 providing strong performance, the six-speed making the car exceptionally enjoyable to drive, and the Corsa exhaust providing the sound that makes every drive a little more entertaining. The C5 Corvette represents an important chapter in Corvette history. The LS1, lightweight body, independent suspension, rear transaxle configuration and sophisticated chassis helped make the fifth-generation Corvette a genuine performance car while retaining the comfort and usability expected from America\'s sports car.
