1976 Chevrolet Corvette

The Corvette is a line of American 2 door 2 seat sports cars manufactured by Chevrolet since 1953. The 3rd generation (C3) was patented after the Mako Shark II concept car. It was sold from 1968 through 1982 and were the first coupes to feature T-tops. New for 1976 was a one-piece badge instead of separate letters and a modified hood that changed the air induction system to pull air from further forward over the radiator eliminating the howl that could be heard in the cabin. This particular example has just 30,248 original miles and retains its original L48 engine and Turbo 350 auto transmission. It was repainted in its original color of Classic White about 20 years ago and it retains its original two-tone Firethorn Red interior which is complimented by its Classic White leather seats and door panels. It is fully loaded with A/C that blows ice cold, power windows, a rear window defroster, Gymkhana suspension, power brakes, power steering, an AM/FM Stereo, a heavy-duty battery, a map light and aluminum wheels. It was last serviced at 30,234 miles at which time it received new seals for the T-tops, a new battery as well as a brand-new radiator, water pump, thermostat, belts, hoses as well as anything related to the cooling system. Based on its present condition we would conservatively appraise this as a number 2 car which has a current value of $26,000.
