1966 Chevrolet C10 Pickup Truck

This 1966 Chevrolet C10 Restomod combines a short-bed Stepside body with an LS1 V8, a 4L60E automatic transmission and a customized interior. Built by Creative Rods and Restoration of Greenville, South Carolina, the truck received a frame-off restoration finished in Honda Obsidian Blue Pearl. Its lowered stance, wood bed and modern driving equipment give the classic Chevrolet a distinct look without losing the shape that makes these trucks so appealing. The deep blue Glasurit finish covers the cab, bed, bumpers and detailed engine bay. A polished Chevrolet grille, chrome headlight surrounds and traditional two-piece door glass retain the truck's familiar look, while billet door handles and LS1 fender emblems introduce subtle custom details. The lowered suspension retains independent front and solid-axle rear layouts, with front and rear sway bars and Bilstein shocks. Inside, black TMI bucket seats feature blue contrast stitching and are separated by a center console with an armrest and cupholders. The body-color dashboard houses Omega Kustom gauges, a digital Chevrolet-style AM/FM head unit and Vintage Air controls for modern air conditioning. A Lokar floor shifter, a bowtie-branded 3-spoke steering wheel on a tilt column, power windows, upgraded door panels and Chevrolet floor mats complete the cabin. Build records also note sound insulation beneath the interior trim and retrofitted bear-claw door latches. This C10 offers the unmistakable look of a lowered 1960s Stepside with the added flexibility of LS power, an automatic transmission and a comfortable two-seat cabin.
